A Glimpse of Main Street Living

The collective 'they' in this world always say that you will never be completed with a renovation. ‘They’ are correct.

I’ve been waiting to take our official ‘after’ photos for the day that our apartment is magazine ready. With the year anniversary of our move approaching next month, the reality that life doesn’t ever reach magazine level of readiness has hit.

So it is with the control freak that lives in my brain bound and gagged that I present the (current) final photos of our apartment.

For those of you who may not know, we purchased our building in Downtown Winchester in June 2014. We DIY’d our way through the renovations (with the help of my parents) for the past 2 years, putting the final touches on the major renovations in April 2016. The upstairs apartment is approximately 2,000 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, with original hardwood flooring throughout. It also has 1 surviving original fireplace and mantle, as well as a pedestal sink, porcelain tub, door frames with transoms, and retains quite a bit of original molding.
