The smiling face you'll see most days when you visit the store is Carvel's. He works mainly in our Demonstration Area of the studio, and enjoys answering visitor's questions about our process. Carvel is also the Lead Class Instructor, having over 10 years of experience in ceramics and a BA in Art from Brescia University.
Owner, Potter, Lead Class Instructor
She wears all the hats in the business; making pottery, graphics, marketing, designing the store windows and displays, answering emails, photographing pottery, loading kilns, etc. Ashley has a BFA from EKU, and is usually in the back of the studio during store hours doing one of her many tasks.
Owner, Potter, Graphic Designer
From stamping our shopping bags, to shipping online orders, being the tech expert, helping us run our booth at markets, researching new products to explore, making sure every item in store is priced, and in general keeping Carvel and Ashley sane.
Assistant, Shipping, Total BA
If you're looking to add our pottery to your shop, or need gifts for a work event, Carolyne is the person you want to talk to.
On top of that, she has been wonderful at adding locally made items to our store, helping us expand our offerings and grow to new heights.
Brand Ambassador, Wholesale & Corporate Gift Manager
The latest addition to the Dirty South Team!
Cassie jumped onboard with us in late summer, and has hit the ground running. She is another set of hands for making our pottery, helps us with chores around the studio, and also runs the store on days that the owners are away.
