Legends of sea creatures date back to ancient times in Loch Ness, Scotland, but the stories really started to grow in pop culture starting in the 1930's with an iconic photo of the monster surfacing. Though this particular claim may have been debunked, the legend of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster, lives on. Could there be a large creature living in this Scottish lake, or even one near you?
The Loch Ness Monster Mug is made with our brown clay, dunked in a dusky blue glaze then topped with a gooey green-gray. It reminds us of peering out into a lake on a foggy night and seeing a creature cresting the water's surface.
Please note that the size of the item and the exact look of the glaze will vary slightly from the photographed shown. This is part of the handmade process and makes each piece truly unique. If uniformity is important to you, we suggest you order all items intending to be matched at the same time.
